, Vice President – Specifications, Perkins-Everitt Lighting & Controls

Adam Coats is a licensed electrical engineer and a lifelong Memphian. He has spent the last 17 years as a professional in the architectural and engineering design space, serving as a consultant for commercial construction projects. As the Vice President of Specifications for Perkins Everitt Lighting + Controls, his focus is on the design and implementation of lighting and lighting control systems. Adam believes that lighting is fundamental to the human experience and overall health and emphasizes that quality lighting design can be appreciated and enjoyed by all, regardless of age or professional experience. Adam uses his technical expertise as an engineer and his lifelong love of learning to be an educator in the discipline of lighting. Adam invites you to attend this presentation to better understand how critical lighting and lighting controls are to our comfort, our mood and our enjoyment of a space, and how the best lighting can shape our experience and have a lasting impact on our lives. Adam is married to Casie, and they have a 2 ½ year old son and they are expecting a baby girl in September. In his spare time, Adam can be found driving, tinkering with and detailing sports cars.
