Professional Photo sessions must be scheduled at least one week in advance.
Fee: For an annual fee of $500 professional photographers/videographers will become members of the Dixon and have access to the Gardens for photo/video shoots for a period of one year. The annual fee includes:
- Unlimited photography/video shoots
- Free admission for photographer/videographer
- Free admission for two (2) assistants
- Free admission for ten (10) individuals per shoots.
If the photographer/videographer is not a member at this level or not a member of the Dixon the following fees apply: $150 for a one time photo shoot. (Please note: fee must be paid at least one week in advance, for a two hour maximum shoot.) This one time fee includes:
- One time Photography/ video shoot
- Free admission for photograper/ videographer
- Free admission for two (2) assistants
- Free admission for ten (10) individuals
Maximum length of session: Two hours
Maximum number of people: 20
Permitted Areas: Cutting Garden, Woodland Gardens, Formal Gardens, South Lawn, Residence Porch and Stage. No interior spaces.
Refunds: Cancellations must be made by noon (12:00 pm) the day before the photo shoot is scheduled for a full refund. For cancellations made after the deadline, half of the total fee will be refunded. A full refund will be given if the photo session is cancelled due to inclement weather.
Commercial photography/video is defined as:
- Photograph/videos involving props, changes of clothing or more equipment than a tripod and standard flash.
- Photos/videos that will be posted for sale on the Internet/Portfolio, used in print for art sale, used to advertise goods or services otherwise published.
- Photograph/video sessions involving a group larger than five people or involving a paid photographer.
- Wedding, model, and professional or otherwise commercial photography/video.
Private photography/video is defined as:
- Using a non-paid photographer/videographer, requiring no change of clothing and using no more than one tripod, flash and camera.
- Private photography/video is permitted in the Catmur foyer and in the gardens.
