Reciprocal Gardens

Your membership card entitles you to free admission and additional benefits at botanical gardens, arboreta, and conservatories throughout North America.

How to enjoy the benefits of the Reciprocal Admissions Program

The American Horticultural Society (AHS) encourages participating gardens members to travel the country, discovering the diversity and beauty of horticulture across America. Through the AHS Reciprocal Admissions Program (RAP), members receive special admission privileges in addition to discounts on gift shop purchases and special events at participating gardens. Simply present your current membership card at the admissions counter or gift shop of the garden you are visiting to receive the benefits. Each card will only admit the individual(s) whose name is listed on the card. In the case of family memberships, gardens may limit admission to two people. Some gardens may require you to show a photo ID. Please note the 90-mile local exclusion policy. If you are a member of a participating RAP garden, other gardens within 90-miles are not required to extend the RAP benefits.

*If you are an AHS member, participating RAP gardens within 90-miles of your home address are not required to extend the RAP benefits (see below regarding the Dixon Gallery and Gardens and the Memphis Botanic Gardens). Be sure to check the AHS website for an up-to-date list of participating gardens as they are subject to change. Before visiting any garden, visit the garden’s website or call to verify hours of operation, confirm admission policy, and get the latest updates on programs and other information. Please note that some special events and exhibits may not be included as part of the RAP.

An asterisk (*) next to an entry indicates the garden does not offer RAP benefits but encourages members to visit. Also please note that the Memphis Botanic Gardens and the Dixon Gallery and Gardens are not reciprocal with each other and reserve this right as they are within 90 miles of each other as listed in the benefits above.
