Jean-Louis Forain Exhibition Catalogue

A 250-page, full-color catalogue authored by Florence Valdès-Forain will published in both French and English. The book examines more than 200 of the Forain’s greatest works and will become the definitive study on the artist.

Florence Valdes-Forain is the great-granddaughter of the artist and leading authority on his work. A graduate of the Institut detudes Politiques, Paris, she holds a masters degree in art history from the Sorbonne. She has served as a consultant and collaborator on catalogues for several museums, including the Dixon Gallery and Gardens, Fondation de lHermitage (Lausanne), and Museo Thyssen- Bornemisza (Madrid). She has contributed articles to publications such as La Revue du Musee dOrsay, LOeil, and Le Monde dHermes. She serves as an expert appointed by the Court of Appeals of Versailles.
